Beach races in Denmark

We have been in Harleys for a while now and the need to do that in our free time is getting a little less.

But when we had a customer in the shop , for whom we are restoring a Liberator, who was enthusiastically talking about beach races with hotrods and vintage motorcycles in Denmark, we thought we should go there sometime…

Last August it was time and we enjoyed the beautiful beach of an island off the Danish coast. The beach is 30 km long and 3 km wide and was full of the most beautiful hotrods and vintage motorcycles,

Here is an impression;

Hotrod

A while ago we manufactured a lowered frame for customer Silvio, suitable for a Ford eight-cylinder flathead block. After this, Silvio took over the further construction of the Ford, he will come back for the finishing touches.

It was a thrill to see the hot rod again!

Sporty Boardtracker

We’re putting the finishing touches on the structural work. For example, we have put together a sporty steering wheel with matching handles and a cover plate with hole pattern for the retro jumper. The battery box, petrol and oil cap in the same style, license plate with a Hotrod taillight.

At the request of the customer, the air filter and the ignition coil are fitted with covers. To place the start button and ignition lock, the electrical box is located under the oval oil tank.
Chamber bushes have been used for the headlight support, with the heads of the Allen screws nicely recessed.
