This is a frame for the BUELL to put it from mild to wild!
The most important invention of mankind!
The most important invention of mankind must have been ‘the wheel’.
Every self-respecting bike-builder takes the type of wheels (and tires!) seriously in the design of a chopper. Spoke wheels give a different look to a chopper than a set of ultramodern billet aluminum wheels, right?
L&L Choppers offers specially machined rims with skulls, tribals and many other conceivable graphics. Powder coating is available in all colors of the rainbow. Also, there is plenty of choice of sizes. Go for a chopper look? Then you might want to have a 21 incher in front. In our stable we also have a board-tracker with two 23-inch wheels. Or is it a racey look that you want to go for? Or do you want to cruise around whith such an impressive 360 mm rubber under your butt?
L&L Choppers delivers rims in all shapes and sizes. Do you have any doubts?
You don’t have to reinvent the wheel!

Craftsmanship at L&L Choppers
Furniture makers , clock makers , blacksmiths … Fewer and fewer people understand the art of old skool craftsmanship, which requires a pair of big callused hands, smart thinking and a creative mind. This craft is also needed for building choppers like the way they used to do it way back. Those days, there were no shelves packed full of ready-made chopper-parts… let alone AutoCAD and CNC machines.
L&L Choppers believes that traditional craftsmanship should never be lost. Because… what is more unique than a hand-fabricated bike?
The young chopper builder Paul proves that this way of craftsmanship isn’t just reserved for old gray bikers. Everything his eyes see, his hands can make. He prefer doing things the old skool way. Latest acquisition – or should we say “oldest” – is a rock-solid and conventional milling machine from 1945. It’s antique distribution-table is something that Paul has cracked his brains about… “But it works just as well as modern digital equipment,” says Paul, who also made tools himself to make concave- and convex parts on the lathe.”…A wonderful tool to make large rolls for a powerful pipe-bender. Very useful for making frames,” says Paul , who makes tools to make ehh… tools.
Do you, just like us, fancy traditionally built choppers?
Meet Paul at L&L Choppers and be amazed!

Frisco style chopper for Onno
Onno is the owner of an optically modified Harley-Davidson Night Train that he really wasn’t using anymore. The standard Harley was simply not exciting enough and did not stand out in Onno’s garage. For years, he has been dreaming of owning a custom made chopper.
During a visit to the Bigtwin Bikeshow 2013, Onno met with L&L Choppers and explained what he wanted. Of course, L&L had no problem sharing his vision.
It was decided to keep the Twin Cam 88B engine, the gearbox and several other parts from the donor bike. The frame had to be a slim dual downtube hardtail with a straight line between the headstock and the rear axle.
Based on these wishes, L&L cleverly designed a frame along the lines of their Sportster Attackit. The frame is usable for several types of chopper and bobber bikes and can accommodate virtually all big twin engines. Which means that engines and gearboxes from Softails, Dynas, FXR and Touring models will fit.
The rest of Onno’s chopper will be built in Frisco Style. It will be a slim bike, with a small tank mounted on the backbone and practical details. Although this style sometimes included mid controls, we will be using forward mounted controls in view of the customer’s size.
Magnificent Bastard
Owner Jeroen says:
A Biker for 24 years…….I have always been riding a custom style motorcycle.
Not a Harley but certainly the type. Now the circumstances appeared to make the dream reality. I am a long time fan of the bobberstyle. Finally I decided to make the dream come true with cooperation of L&L.
Due to the fact that I like to ride a lot of miles, the choice came down to a softail instead of a hard tail, what, in fact for me, is the essence of a bobber . But sometimes you have to make concessions for riding comfort. That is also the reason for the 200 rear tire to ride corners more easily. A slightly wider angle on the front springer, with the biggest possible wheel to match the back, creates a better esthetic line. The short fender is chosen to show the 200 rear wheel. Definitely my vision. From the start it was clear to me that chrome is not an option. I’d rather drive, than wash my bike. The engine is from the donorbike and is a standard 1200 sportster with 5 gears. The exhausts are deliberately kept long to give it that long look and because I am not a small man.
Because I like smooth round lines, the fender struts are curved . The rest of the bike is kept minimalistic. The handlebars give a more upright seating position wich gives it a more comfortable riding position. The colors will be chosen in a later stage but will be in accordance with the base color of the rear wheel.
All together the bike I imagined is being realized.
In loving memory to those who are no longer here to see the dream come true.
This is the story of Jeroen.

Wassel
Vintage chopper fans will recognize the Wassell peanut tank.
In the sixties and seventies, this fuel tank was the no #1 choice for every true chopperfreak. Over the years, this little tank even earned a iconic status! Nowadays, the Wassell peanut has a true come-back. Skinny and sleek is the norm again, and on the toptube of every retro lane-splitter belongs a Wassell. However, It takes hours and hours to find an Original on eBay, which probably costs a little fortune as well… Luckily, the aftermarket jumps in on these needs of the modern bikers and there are perfect looking reproductions being made of this classic fuel tank.
L&L Choppers (of course) have these Wassell-style tanks on the shelves. We already offered the Wassell chopper (A) and the Wassell bobber (B) style fuel-tanks. But now we also have the Real Deep version (C).

Trike for Jan
Jan recently passed the age of fifty years. To celebrate this special occasion, he decided that he would like to have something special: a trike!
Though, not another corny trike with a VolksWagen beetle engine on it’s tail. Jan wanted a Harley-based trike with and therefore he bought a complete second-hand Dyna motorcycle at L&L Choppers.
Meanwhile, the L&L team designed a one-off rigid frame for the donor engine. The frame was designed in good consultation with Jan and within only one month the frame was finished. The Dyna engine, gear-box, primary, forks and brakes were taken from the donor bike.
Thanks to the well designed frame, the trike will look pretty much streamlined. The racey dragstyle fuel tank that Jan chose, matches to this styling. A ridge with speedholes was welded on te top of the fuel tank.
This is a theme that is recurring everywhere on the trike. The front wheel on the photo is the original, but in the near future a 23 incher will be mounted. The mudguards, that cover the 14 inch wide rear-tyres, are TIG-welded and they’ll have a chrome finish soon. The seat is equipped with air suspension shocks, so riding this trike will feel pretty comfortable. After all it will become a very clean and tough looking trike!

Second shop for L&L Choppers
L&L Choppers from Opmeer, the North of Holland, is working on their 2th shop in Rijen since a few months. The shop is located near Breda and the Belgian border.
December 28th & 29th 2013 the doors were publicly opened for the first time. The castle-like interiour is realised with help of the Nimeto school. Eye-popping was the special Tokyo Thug corner with Japanese chopper parts. L&L Choppers have put a few of their best bikes in the brand new show-room. Two big-twin highnecks stood on both sides of the raw metal entrance. Central to the showroom was the trophee-winning Panster of L&L’s engineer Paul. An unfinished Buell rigid chop in English streetfighter tradition looked very promising, ans so was the raw Attackit Sportster of L&L’s helper Richard.
However this wasn’t the official grand opening, the open days were a huge succes. Many bikers from Holland and Belgium visited the new shop in Rijen this weekend.
Early 2014 the shop will be officially opened. Be there!

See-Through Oiltanks from L&L Choppers
One of the most succesfull products of L&L are their stainless oiltanks.
One day they started with only two sorts, one with a small diameter and one with a big.
But pretty soon people wanted oval oiltanks, tanks with ribs, oilbags with an integrated batterybox, tanks in Moon style and much more. L&L has all these tanks in stock now but that still does not seem enough.
Therefore they made a new one. An oiltank with see-through sides!
These oiltanks are also made from stainless steel and are available with one or two see-through sides. L&L oiltanks are of a high quality, designed and made in house and they come with a three point mounting system.
The L&L tanks will fit almost any project but if they don’t L&L can make them fit for you.
Stainless Steel Licenseplateholders
For years we have been handmaking strong simple metal licenseplateholders for our customers. Reason enough to take these items into production. We decided to make them from stainless this time because we can either sell them in high polished versions or in matt versions. Our stainless license plateholders don’t vibrate into several pieces and are as strong as our popular handmade holders were thanks to the smart contsruction.
They are also kept as small as possible. It’s bad enough that these plates are as big as they are, we don’t want to make them look bigger by adding extra material on the holders. At the moment we have stainless licenseplateholders in stock, suitable for mounting the popular Stoplight and the clean Cone light. Both are rearlights we sell.
