Good example is good to follow. By showing Yuri’s Swedish Chopper, the enthusiasm is back.
This is the bicycle part for customer Hans, consisting of a custom frame and a rear wheel. We will collect another Flow-Glide fork to length and a 23 inch front wheel and then Hans can go wild on the design!
A nice completion of the last winter jobs.
For the bag we made a metal back plate with fasteners and had it covered with saddle leather.
Because of the same carvings and patterns that have been used in the saddle, it has become a beautiful whole.
The build of the Triumph is progressing steadily.
The frame is back from the painter and the engine has been thoroughly overhauled, which is necessary when the engines are a bit older.
For the technical part, the engine has been completely disassembled and all irregularities have been repaired.
For the look we polished a large part of the engine, sprayed the cylinders and finished with chrome accents and we used a home made ribbed primary case.
Now the assembly can begin!
We were able to free up some time for Yuri his chopper.
The idea for the exhaust set comes from our chopper Aruba. With its V-shape and upswept design, it gives the chopper a rugged appearance.
The Flow Glide fork is made to length and will be polished after painting.
We have brought the headlight support as close as possible to the triple trees so that the headlight falls into the front fork.
Whether it’s a Panhead, Evo, Twin Cam, Sportster or something else …
For the vintage look we also supply frames with wishbone front tubes.
Due to the length of the customer, we have opted for an extended frame. Due to the long tank and an oval oil tank, everything is nicely in proportion. We opted for a two-in-one with an end silencer for the exhaust system.
The stabilizer on the front fork is equipped with a removable mudguard, we have refitted the original front brake disc and finished it with a nice, well-functioning brake caliper.
Now on to the inspection!
You have wide glide springers and narrow springers.
With the narrow springers, a narrow wheel hardly fits between them and certainly no brake caliper.
The solution is the in-between glide springer, despite its narrow appearance, a narrow wheel with a reduction set can be mounted.
Customer Henri has been driving this fork for about 25 years and thinks it is time to make a change.
The question was asked whether it was possible to fit a longer fork, and as you know… we don’t like to say no.
After building a new frame for a fork that’s 10 inch longer than the old one, we roughly build up some part.
We continues for the Swedish Chopper with the handlebars. What should certainly not be missing is the Tillerbar, the angle and length are determined by the seating position.
The foot at the mounting on the triple trees and a rotated stabilizing bar are “finishing touches”!
We build our frames with a thicker tube diameter and customers regularly ask for rear axle mountings of cast iron.
To meet this requirement, this is the new version for the 19 mm (¾) rear axle.
The Sportsters of the 1970s and early 1980s were named Ironhead. The block is widely used in France for chopper construction.
This time the customer wanted a Highneck with a single downtube hardtail frame. It is the base to create something beautiful out of it, France has another chopper richer.
The structural work of the Triumph Boardtracker is completed. As you can see it consists of a lot of parts, many of them will be chrome plated and the parts that needs to be painted can be blasted and put in the epoxy.
We have opted for a dark color blue. The block will be disassembled, then polished and then the cylinders gets painted. As the cream of the crop, some rib covers will be made for it.
